This lease is located in WMU(6G) and is 21 miles NE of Watertown, New York. Clayton is less than 5 miles from this hunting lease. This property has a section of mature woods (20 acres), duck ponds (8 acres), and heavy thick brush with scattered pine trees. I saw a nice flock of turkeys that had a mature gobbler with them on the dam bordering the duck ponds. There is heavy deer sign along the road near south border (see yellow circle on aerial map). I also found a few rubs around the duck ponds. Property is pretty flat and the brush spots are very thick offering good bedding cover for the deer. There are scattered trees for stands around the brush areas. Ground blinds should work well. There should be excellent duck hunting in the duck ponds that were put in by the state as the St. Lawrence River is about a mile away. ATV use is authorized for hunting purposes only. You are allowed to post property. No Camping allowed. This property will provide deer, turkey and duck hunting.
